(We have run two successful rounds of Jot Pockets. Bookings have now closed for this course but may reopen at a later date. Keep an eye on our facebook page for updates.)
We had an overwhelming response to our Jot Pockets first round and for those who missed out, Jot Pockets Round 2 kicks off 14 October 2014. REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW AND ACCESS TO THE CLASSROOM WILL BE FROM Monday 22 September.
Designed by Jot founder Kim Archer, this six week powerhouse course will take you through not only the
basics of Project Life/pocket scrapbooking but guide you step by step in a supportive environment that will
soon have you creating your pocket pages with pure confidence.
you DID know where to start,
you didn’t feel stuck
it didn’t feel like a burden to have to document the everyday moments in your family?
you created really gooood pages! Seriously good pages that you loved?
we pulled you out of that sea of washi tape, flair badges, teeny wood veneer shapes, plastic page protectors and journaling cards and showed you what you actually do with that stuff?
you didn’t have to stick with it for an entire year? And you just made what you wanted, when you wanted and with us holding your hand? Every. Step. Of. The. Way. Without the pressure or rules or guilt?
you had someone to guide you, hold your hand and show you step by step how to design and create your spreads?
you were surrounded by an interactive supportive community of other crafters?
and what if you DIDN’T feel guilty anymore because you WERE actually documenting your family’s life, telling their stories and creating your family’s time capsule.
Instead of just thinking about it.
I want to pop by here to thank you for the Jot Pocket classes. We had a very busy time during the 6 weeks and so I didn’t do any crafting. Sitting down today I wondered if I really had it in me to create anything much BUT after reading through the wonderful class notes and looking through the gallery I’ve been absolutely inspired. Thank you for being so generous with your time and expertise. You are appreciated xxxx ~Becc Boland, NSW
Thanks for a great 6 weeks Kim……I’m really going to miss waking up on Monday morning & seeing what my challenge is for the week. I’ve learnt so much & really happy with how my album looks; I just hope that I can continue now on my own & that it still looks as good when I get to December! ~Gill Welch
I’ve finally had sometime to pop back in and download the rest of the lessons. Now to try and complete them!!! Thanks so very much Kim and the Jot girls and others for making Project Life seem less daunting. I’m really liking how my album is coming together and I can’t wait to get some more pages done 🙂 ~Barb Turner
Project Life is the only form of scrapbooking I do these days so I love that this class is giving me some fresh inspiration. The lessons are really easy to follow and relevant to my needs and it’s great to be able to print off the pdfs each week. I keep them on my desk for quick reference. I was interested in the apps everyone is using to organise their photos. Plus I love that the suggested supplies are available locally. This is the first class I’ve taken where every single lesson has sparked my creativity and I have made a fresh start on putting some pages together. ~Vikki
I love the pocket style of scrapbooking. It’s totally changed the way I record our family’s comings and goings and I am thankful to Becky Higgins and her Project Life system for allowing me to create our family’s time capsule using such a great system. I create without putting any pressure on myself. I don’t have expectations of committing to it every single week. I make what I want and when I want without feeling guilty that I am not up to date. But it wasn’t always that way.
A couple of years ago I was drowning in too many choices, too many decisions, absolute overwhelm and confusion about HOW to tackle pocket scrapbooking. I was pinning like a lunatic on Pinterest and reading far too many blogs, visiting online galleries, websites and stalking #projectlife on Instagram. I was confused over about what products to use and how to print my photos. Home printing versus printing at Big W took up a LOT of my headspace. I even stressed over whether to corner round my journaling cards or not as I was worried that whatever decisions I made from the outset had to be decisions I stuck with for my WHOLE PROJECT LIFE album.
I gave up before I began. It was quite a disaster. However, fast forward to January 2013 and I tried again. I share more of my story in our JOT POCKETS class.. but this time I took the pressure off myself and I haven’t looked back.” ~Kim Archer
