And here we are in August already! And another Mood Board is here to inspire you – this time created by our lovely Jot Girl Anna Allan.
And let’s take a look at what some of our talented Jot Girls have put together this month!
Lauren says, “With these beautiful mood board colours and tones I couldn’t resist but to get my watercolour paints out and add a modern twist to this 30yr old photo of myself and Bree, my little sister.”
Kim says, “I took my inspiration from the beautiful image of the red lips and created my own patterned paper using an image of lips I downloaded from the internet and some Heidi Swapp Champagne foil. I Use my editing software to create my patterned paper, printed it off on to vellum using my laser printer then ran it through my Minc machine with the Champagne foil.”
Nat says, “I took my inspiration from the over-all look of the mood board which is to keep it fairly monochrome with just a splash of vibrant red. The colours made me think of my local cafe which is styled very similarly, and from there the idea for my card grew ;-)”
Sharmaine says, “This was a story waiting to be documented and the mood board was perfect for creating the page.”
Amanda says, “For this mood board i took inspiration from the artwork, the butterfly, the flowers, the sheet music (paper used to cut out the ‘hello’ and butterfly) and the microphone picture made me connect the photo as well. I had never heard of these Miley buns but apparently they are a ‘thing’ thanks to Miley Cyrus. As long as she’s not as wild as her, the cute buns can stay.”
Mardi says, “What are you doing to me Anna? … So out of my comfort zone I’m not sure Ill get back….haha Seriously though…. this was a challenge in all sense of the word and I enjoyed it thoroughly.”
Sheree says, “I loved this mood board’s colour combo of white and black with splashes of red so I used that as the inspiration for my page. Thanks for another great mood board Anna!”
I’m sure you will agree how beautiful all of our Jot Girls’ projects are!! So.. what will you make?
