This is a really hard post to write. And I have put it off for quite some time, trying to find the right words. But I don’t think I will ever find the right words so I am just jumping in because, well, it’s time. Issue 21 of Jot will publish on 1 September and will be our very final issue. It was proving harder
A FUN BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK AT RAQUEL BOWMAN’S HELLO LAYOUT FROM ISSUE 18 Hey everyone, I’m here with you today sharing my layout contribution and give you an insight into my process for the ‘Hello’ Gallery in Issue 18 of Jot Magazine. I decided to document a photo of my little man when he was only a couple of weeks old taken by a
Issue 6 is almost here. And it’s a beauty! It’s hard to believe it’s our first birthday here at Jot. It’s been a HUGE year and certainly an exciting first six issues! Our bumper birthday issue will hit the digital news stand on 1 June. In the meantime, here’s a look at some of the projects, people and stories you will find inside Issue 6.
I had the pleasure of meeting regular Jot contributor, Studio Calico Design Team member and one of this year’s Scrapbooking Masters, the lovely Natalie Elphinstone at the recent Escape2Create retreat in Port Lincoln where we were both teaching classes. I’m a bit of a last minute girl. I tend to work like a mad person when a deadline is looming. Some of my best ideas spring from working at the last minute. This past weekend I decided to whip up some last minute Project Life 3x4inch journaling cards for Issue 1 of the mag. And thought I would share a sneak peek! I’m cutting
Naming our new magazine was hard work. You would think it would be easy to come up with a short, snappy, memorable name that summed up this whole every day moment/paper crafting/instant memory keeping industry that is emerging since the advent of Project Life/pocket style scrapbooking. A name that captured the essence of what we are trying to do with this new publication — a
