It’s Day 7 of our Project Life week – and it’s time again to check out what our Jot Girls have been up to.
Let’s take a look at Lauren Hender’s work. She has created a mini book using the Project Life cards for her layout — a great opportunity to include lots more photo and journaling on her layout.
Project Life cards used: Wellington Childhood Edition.
Lauren says, “A fantastic day of fun was had at my little Jackson’s soccer gala day this year. The weather was beautiful, company great and the kids were having a blast. I of course was running around snapping photos of little everyday moments I and the children didn’t want to forget.
Picking just one photo from a photo filled day to scrapbook was too hard so I decided to make a small Project Life concertina album. I used the beautiful Wellington Childhood Edition that I received from Craft House and created a mini album that now holds seven fun filled photos. ”
Here’s a closeup of the mini book made with the journaling cards:

TIP | Use cardstock to create a concertina style mini book and fill with journaling cards + photos and journaling to add to your layout.
Lauren also created a set of journaling cards using the Project Life cards but decided to create a set of non photo cards! Here’s what she came up with..
Lauren says, “Watercolor paints are showing up everywhere in the scrapbooking world at the moment and it’s understandable why… THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I have a bright pallet and just looking at it makes me smile. I decided to decorate a set of the Project Life journal cards that I received from Craft House for an upcoming layout of my little girl’s preschool photos.
I loved the way black ink seeped into the paper and the dimensional magic just making it pop. I also used some bright sequins and dimensional magic to add a little sparkle.
