Hey guys, Beshka here with a quick little tutorial for creating an Easter inspired filler card for your pocket pages. So don’t pour out that egg dye just yet!
I love dying eggs with the kids and honestly kids are not required! I will dye them by my lonesome if I have to – any excuse to play with color! A few years ago after we had finished coloring our eggs I got the idea to create a filler card for that weeks spread. I loved how it turned out so much I now do it every year. The best part is how easy it is!
What you will need:
- Leftover Egg Dye
- Metal Egg Wand
- Cardstock Cards (pre-made or you can cut your own, I recommend a textured cardstock)
- Paper Towels (or a rag to clean your want between dips)
So how easy it? It’s as simple as dipping your egg wand into your leftover color bath and then stamping it onto some cardstock. See? Easy peasy. Dip. Stamp. Clean wand. Repeat. Keep repeating until you have a card you love. Don’t worry if your colors look light, they will darken as they dry. And let yourself be messy – it makes for a more interesting card!
Here’s a look at the finished sample plus the cards I made the last two years.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this quick little tutorial. Happy Easter! x
