Did you notice some of the little Project Life cards Beshka had made and slipped into her Easter pages she shared with us yesterday? Check out the post here.
Well, Beshka is back to share a quick tutorial on how she made her cards!
My latest obsession is monoprinting using gelatin. To find out more about this style of printing, type in MONOPRINTING WITH GELATIN in YouTube — theres a ton of videos on how to make your own gelli plate as well as ideas on how to print projects using this technique. Try this YouTube video for a few ideas.
I use knox gelatin (substituting water for juice of course) to create my prints along with water-based block printing inks and hand cut shapes. There are also some really great tutorials on Pinterest for getting started. It is really easy to set up and loads of fun!
I love that it gives me yet another way to play with color and shape and that each print is unique, no two ever come out the same. It can also be translated to a smaller canvas which makes me and my pocket pages happy. Here I have created some monoprinted Easter cards for my pockets in some spring inspired colors!
