Well, here’s a throwback to my old Etzcetera blog days with a fun Easter-y project..
(Etzcetera was my very first foray into the online magazine world.. and helped me gain the skills/experience to create and launch Jot!)
Mini Easter Egg Gift Bags
This little project is ideal for using up all those paper scraps and supplies you have already sitting in your crafting stash. I’ve used a mix of patterned paper, book paper, graph notepaper and some ribbon, buttons, thread PLUS a pom pom thrown in for good measure! Oh and a red velvet leaf embellishment!
I’ve filled plastic resealable bags with foil wrapped mini Easter eggs and sealed the bags tight, making sure all the air has escaped. I’ve then created cardstock toppers by folding a length of cardstock or patterned paper in half, decorating the fronts and stapling them to the tops of the bag. Here’s a closer look at the bag toppers — just like little gift cards!
For this one, I have used cardstock as my base and layered on ribbon, some hand cut scallop edged book paper and a narrow type written strip for my sentiment. I’ve finished this one with a pink pom pom.
For this one, I have added in some paper scraps, a fabric strip, some ribbon and stapled on a red velvet leaf.
and finally, this one is just patterned paper and some fringed graph paper tied up with blue thread adn finished with a lovely button.
Have a happy Easter everyone!
