THANK YOU to everyone who entered our July challenge. Our winner is #13 PJ.
We’re walking on sunshine here at Jot this month with this sunshiny Mood Board brought to you by none other than Kim Jeffress (of course!)
let’s take a look at what our team put together for this month’s Mood Board.
Kim J says, “NO surprises that I picked yellow to be a part of my mood board for this month! I really love the warmth that the wood grain brings to the colour scheme as well. It adds a rich rich feel as well. I really hope you get a chance to play along!”
Anna says, “Such a happy and fresh colour choice! Thanks Kim J!”
Lauren says, “Now who would have thought the amazing Kim J would have picked yellow for a themed mood board?? lol. We are so glad she did though as on the cool wintry mornings here in Australia it’s nice to see colours that are bright and sunny to make us smile.”
Amanda says, ‘Inspired by the white brick wall, the retro vibe, the pineapple and the timber. I decided not to concentrate solely on yellow, instead focusing on each one of the colours in the grab dots. This page follows the colours down from the greys, through the yellows and into the burnt orange finishing at the wood grain.”
Mardi says, “Kim J I adored this mood board….it was like scrapbooking sunshine and on such a cold and wet day it was extra lovely to play with such bright happy colours.”
Sheree says, “Kim I LOVE this mood board with all of it’s sunshiny yellowy prettiness! Yellow always makes me happy…and so does the photo that I chose to scrap of the kids and I on Mothers’ Day this year. I loved the little touches of woodgrain colour with the yellow too. Such a fun mood board!”
Meghann says, “Beautiful board, Kim! I love yellow, so I had a lot of product to make this one happen! I just added a tiny bit of pale teal to the colour scheme. Plus, I had the perfect photo from Good Friday 2015, when my father and daughter were both decked out in yellow!”
Natalie says, “I guess it’s obvious that I took my inspiration very literally from the yellow pineapple with the gold (what do you call the top of a pineapple? leaves? spikes?!) anyway… those! Using a simple shape repeatedly can sometimes be quite striking, and it certainly makes an easy fast card so this came together in no time at all. I love the funky, bright and happy mood of this colour scheme.”
Suse says, “I’m not sure I’ve ever made a layout with a limited colour palette like this one before, but when the colour’s so sunshine-y, it can’t help but make you happy. I worried a bit that I didn’t have much yellow in my stash, but I did have lots of yellow paint to play with! Fun – thanks for the challenge, Kim!”
Wow! I’m sure you agree how beautiful and inspiring these projects are from the Jot Girls! what will you make? We can’t wait to see!
