THIS MOOD BOARD HAS NOW CLOSED. OUR WINNER is #18 Barb Turner
Introducing our June Mood Board. Another delectable board of inspiration.
Curated by Jot Girl Lauren, this board is a fresh combination of whites, browns, greys, blacks and a splash of green + script writing and stripes! Beautiful.
Let’s take a look at what some of our Jot Girls came up with using this board as their inspiration.
But firstly.. it’s with great sadness that the Jot family bid farewell to Beshka who is leaving the team. Beshka has been a pure joy to work with and has delighted us all with her fresh and innovative style. Issue 14 was her last issue with us and this is her very last Mood Board project. Beshka’s Project Life pages and her gorgeous filler cards have inspired us all here at Jot and we wish Beshka all the very best with the next chapter of her life. Thank you for everything you have done for us here at Jot ~ Kim
Beshka says, “I really love the splash of green in this month’s mood board! It’s not normally a colour I would use, but on an otherwise neutral base, it has convinced me to use this calming colour more often. Thanks for the gorgeous inspiration Lauren.”
Our Mood Board Creator – Lauren Hender
Lauren says, “I thought this pallette of colours would be nice for winter here in Australia. Here is what I created :-)”
Natalie says, “I took my inspiration from the flowers and created this very layered floral card. I kept it to mainly white and grey flowers but couldn’t resist that little pop of brown/woodgrain and love the sophisticated and elegant look of the finished product.
Anna says, “Absolutely loved this mood board with all its neutral tones. I paint-wrote my title straight onto the page using Higgins white ink and then worked around it with placement for the photo and embellishments. A black and white photo works beautifully with this colour palette 🙂
Leanne says, “I really love the splash of green in this month’s mood board! It’s not normally a colour I would use, but on an otherwise neutral base, it has convinced me to use this calming colour more often. Thanks for the gorgeous inspiration Lauren.”
Kim says, “I loved the white combined with the soft woodgrain effect, girls a fresh feel to a layout, I had a giggle when i looked at my photos and noticed a couple of us were wearing black and white stripes….a perfect match with the mood board!”
Sheree says, ”
I was surprised at how easily this page came together with bits and pieces I had on my desk. This was such a great mood board to work with!”
Meghann says, “What a fun mood board! I added a bit of orange to document this layout about my homemade marmalade.”
Sharmaine says, “Glorious mood board that took my all to keep it white and clean!”
Yvette says, “This picture from an old Frankie magazine reminded me of the mood board, and then these elements fell together pretty easily! What I wouldn’t give for a bicycle stamp though. :)”
Amanda says, “Inspired by the lighthouse, the word ‘light’, the bicycle, the stripes, the colours, the roses (in jug top middle pic), and the font.”
Mardi says, “Thank you for such a beautiful mood board Lauren. I took my inspiration from the beautiful soft and weathered pallete…the soft babies breath floral and the script. It was a pleasure to work with this board.”
