Using colourful pages from magazines, these gift pouches are super duper easy to whip up in no time at all.
Start by gathering a few colourful magazine pages together plus some adhesive. I’ve used double sided tape but you could also use a glue stick or even machine stitch your pages together.
Add adhesive to three sides of one page, layer another page on top and stick the pages together to form a “pouch”. Slip your gift inside and seal up the pouch using more adhesive along the top edge.
Once your basic pouch is created, it’s time to get busy with the decorating. Add in strips of patterned paper, book or sheet music paper.
And any other trim, fabric or ribbons you have on hand. I’ve used this wonderful felt flower trim…
Which was hard to attach with double sided tape so I stapled it into place.
Grab a looooong length of kitchen twine and wrap around and around your little parcel..securing with a bow and..
finishing with a cute gift tag.
Great for smaller gifts, these pouches are quick and easy and a great alternative to everyday wrapping paper.
Vibrant and fresh carnival colours – so simple..a wide orange/pink ribbon is wrapped around the parcel and tied in a bow.
And finally.. a mostly white page with text from the magazine is finished with a strip of woodgrain laminate (with a handcut scalloped edge) and some patterned paper tied up with string.
All piled up high together..looking so cute!
