It’s time for another Mood Board! (this board has now closed. We will announce our Mood Board winner Monday 2 June 2014)
Introducing the May Mood Board which has been curated by Jot Girl Mardi Winen who has gone a bit retro this month! May’s Mood Board is filled with lots of greens, oranges, reds and black as well as lots of patterns, felt and stitching… here it is.. Isn’t it funky and bright?

Let’s see what the team has come up with using this Mardi’s Mood Board.
Kim says, “Soooo I don’t have a lot of flowery paper at home so I just went with the colours instead.”
Sheree says, “I LOVED this mood board challenge Mardi! I’ve used these colours together in the past but usually for boy themed layouts so for this challenge I decided to try it for a page about my girl Madison instead.”
Amanda says, “I admit these colours and retro vibe are way out of my comfort zone but I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found those old Sassafrass Lass flowers which looked so similar to Mardi’s flowers in the mood board. I was at the e2c retreat when this layout was being made, and I spied my good friend Lauren with a little mushroom embellishment in her hands. I think I screamed, l begged, pleaded and then did a fist pump and squeal when I placed it on my layout. It was perfect for this mood board!! Mardi and Kim were sitting next to me at the time so they know that I am not at all exaggerating when I say this!! (No, she’s not exaggerating! She was pretty pumped to find that mushroom ebellishment hah ~Kim ) I totally love how vintage this layout turned out.
Anna says, “Wow! A wayyy different mood board to work with but still a wonderful experience. While back home in Tassie, I was wandering the aisles of the local scrapbook store and I caught sight of some fabric that reminded me of this mood board and just had to snatch it up. I have used this fabric as part of the background for my photo. I love incorporating different textures and fibers onto my pages. Awesome mood board Mardi – it was great fun to play around with :-)”
Sharmaine says, “Absolutely loved playing along with these colours! Perfect for this photo of Mr Harry Higgins. I found him outside, all by himself, sitting up to the table that was all set up for a tea party. Delicious, just like the mood board! Thanks Mardi.”
