Mega Photos // Anna Allan

Did you see our MEGA PHOTO gallery in the latest issue of Jot?

I was devastated to realise I had left out lovely Jot Girl Anna Allan’s gorgeous MEGA PHOTO layout for this gallery in our recent issue of Jot. I don’t know how I missed it! It’s just too beautiful not to share.

Anna says, “I love using large photos on my layouts! This particular photo that I used on this page just meant so much to me as I remember how I felt when I came across the moment and just had to capture it. There was just such great light with the sun streaming through the window and my girl looked so cosy and relaxed snuggled in that beanbag! It just made me think how I don’t want to get too busy with life and not notice lovely little everyday moments such as this! So there was no other way to scrap this photo than to blow it up and go BIG!

I always find that pages using larger photos always come together a little quicker than others as I use less embellishments because the photo usually speaks for itself and doesn’t need much else to support it. I do find when I use a large photo that I can’t help using big letters as a title which is the case with this page :-) I’ve just added some journalling and a few decorative touches to fill in the blank part of the page and it was done.

This is beautiful Anna! Bummer it missed being in the mag, (hey you are only human Kim!!) but rest assured that it is a great example of a mega photo layout. It absolutely ticks every box for me. Great story, beautiful photo and a moment captured. Stunning work.

Kim – you are such a sweetheart! I really hold NO hard feelings about the mistake cos that’s what it was — a mistake. They happen! It’s all good. But I thank you for featuring it here on the blog – looking at it again just brings back the cosy feeling I get with this snapshot in time. I just love these moments!

And thanks Amanda for your very kind words. They mean ALOT!
