Let’s see what our team has put together using Anna’s Mood Board.
Anna Allan – The Jot Team
Anna says, “This is a rather bold colour combo I know – and you know what? I am not usually a gold girl – I generally go silver over gold but when I saw images of the bright pink, magenta hues coupled with the gold – I knew I loved it. I have two daughters so the pink bounds into my life quite regularly but this colour combo also matches my girls bright, beautiful and bold personalities.
I based my layout around a very memorable and creative moment I had with my eldest daughter. We wrote a story together. I was so impressed at her imaginative mind sprinkled with a little humour at the end which made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!! I reckon you can have a pretty good guess where we mainly go shopping 😉 We typed it out and she wanted to perform it to her Daddy, sister and her Auntie who was visiting. I was so proud of my girl – so my layout is quite aptly named ‘Golden Moment’ :-)”
Raquel Bowman – The Jot Team
Raquel says, “I was inspired by the tulle in image 3, the flags in image 5 and the flowers and paint drips in image 6 … and the colours of course. This is a layout I created to document Charlotte’s first official plait! So cute!”
Let’s take a closer look:
Sheree Forcier – The Support Team
Sheree says, “These colours are just so pretty together! I found it a little tricky to find some gold products in my stash but managed to find a couple of stickers and a little cardstock in a similar colour as a contrast to my hot pinks. Thanks Anna! I really enjoyed your mood board challenge!”
Kim Jeffress – The Jot Team
Kim says, “I wanted to celebrate how lucky I am that I am with my husband. Sometimes I have to thank my stars!!!!! I used a mini Heidi Swapp memory file to add an interactive element to my page, which also holds my journaling!”

Kim Stewart – The Jot Team
Wendy Morris – The Jot Team
Wendy says, “A pretty amazing golden love found in my fiancé also inspired the theme of my mini, “You Are My Gold”. Anna really hit the nail on the head with this mood board! I fell in love with the rich splashes of gold and magenta on the first beat. I knew instantly I wanted to pull in lots of gold tones from the gold glitter paper, gold foil floral paper, gold frame, and sprinkling of gold sequins. Also, I heat embossed wood veneer shapes (i.e. brackets, hearts, and stars) with American Crafts Zing Embossing Powder in Gold. I really love how it all came together in this mini book, even down to the gold trim on the cover. Even the lips inspired my page with the lips stamp and magenta ink. Ha! ”

Amanda Hall – The Jot Team
Amanda says, “Initially the colours daunted me. The hot pink and gold were so far our of my comfort zone i wasn’t sure where to begin. I’m not a glitzy, glittery lover and the gold tone was terrifying! After a few scrappy purchases to bulk up my pink and gold stash, i could see how it would all work together. Luckily i was at a fantastic scrap retreat while putting this together and had lots of positive feedback to keep going when i felt a bit overwhelmed by the colour combo. The small smatterings of green help pop the pink and gold.”
