October already! 2017 is just flying by so fast!
Please welcome our Mood Board pinner for this month Mardi Winen who has chosen this delicious combination of greens, peach, apricot and mint.
Let’s see what the girls have created this month.
I loved the natural pastel palette of this mood board….and did try to steer away from the pinks…. but I was so drawn to them….oops. I enjoyed replicating the hand drawn floral image and tucking it in as a little card…and who could resist those pom pom trims.
Sharmaine says, “Absolutely loved this mood board Mardi! Totally loving the colours and texture I was inspired by Mardi and her pages documenting family love and created a page about my Mother In Law and our nephew.”
Felicity says, “I absolutely loved this palette and im not sure its because spring has skipped us here in Queensland and gone straight to summer, but i the palette had me at ice creams!! I did love the neutral tones in the palette, so I used that inspiration for my background!”
Nat says, “I loved the drawing of the plants with the cute little bird and thought that recreating something similar on a card would be quite fun. But I was also inspired by all the natural textures represented on the mood board, so instead of painting the flowers on I used wool felt that I cut into tiny shapes.
Super sweet color palette. This is a mood board that begs for black and white photos as the grey tones compliment all the soft pastels.
I absolutely love the colour combo in this pretty mood board with the teal greens mixed with touches of pastel pink and light orange. I used a white background to keep the overall feel light and bright which helped the colours pop off the page.
So, what will you make?
Our sponsor this month is us! We are excited about the opening of our brand new Jot Shop which has our new Jot Pockets ebook for sale plus back issues of our sister publication Etzcetera and we are pleased to offer a gift voucher to our lucky October Mood Board winner.
