This Mood Board is now closed. Our winner is #2 Jana. It’s amazing to think that in a blink of an eye.. here we are..in September 2016!
This time our lovely Jot Girl Meghann has put this brilliant Mood Board together for us with it’s rich crimson, bronze and dark teal tones. Let’s take a look at our SEPTEMBER MOOD BOARD and also be mesmerised by the incredible projects from the Jot Girls who are here to inspire us again!
Meghann Andrew (our Mood Board creator)
Meghann says, “I had to go with the natural feeling in this board and document a layout about a hike through the woods with all of the beautiful, bright colors in the mood board.”
Suse says, “The mood board really made me think, “wild!”, so I rooted around in my stash for anything zingy and bright. The end result is somewhat autumnal – surprisingly – but I do love being challenged away from my usual pastel shades.”
Natalie says, “This mood board is an overload of bright saturated colours and rough natural textures, and so I tried to mimic all of that in my card! Those painted leaves though…. WOW! I went with feathers instead, and left them plain, but there’s so many ideas floating in my head just with that one image alone. Thanks for the inspirational challenge!”
Leanne says, “This mood board completely inspired me to create my own embellishments from the leaf image alone! I used a silhouette cut file from Just Nick Studios and filled in the negative spaces with cardstock. The rest of the layout came together very quickly using the fun colour suggestions supplied.”
Sheree says, “I loved the yarn balls and Aztec designs in this mood board! I found some Aztec inspired patterned paper in my stash and yellow twine and my page came together easily from there. Thanks for another gorgeous mood board challenge Meghann!”
Mardi says, “I love this mood board Meghann!”
Amanda says, “I was inspired by the Aztec print, the balls of yarn, the flowers, leaves and the colour palette. The amazing flowers are made by the company Close to my Heart.”
Sharmaine says, “Meghann I love the colours you chose for the moodboard and I was totally pulled to the graphic of the paint strokes.
I thought this Pink Paislee paper worked well for the mood board and had to use some mustard-y yarn just like what is in the dyed yarn photo. Thanks, Meghann, for pulling these colours into a board because I wouldn’t have gone there without the inspiration of this challenge.”
Sooo.. what will you make??? Upload your layout — we want seeeee!
