Welcome to our Tuesday Tutorial series of videos, projects and fun things from the Jot Girls.
This week, Meghann joins us with a fun water colour technique she used in her recent March Mood Board layout. Here’s Meghann’s Mood Board layout with it’s gloriously dreamy watercolour background.
So drag out your stamps and water colour paints and let’s take a looky at Meghann’s step by step video tutorial..
Now, we were SO INSPIRED by Meghann’s project that some of us had a go at creating our own version using Meghann’s instructions.. AWESOME!
Sheree says, , “Meghann I thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial! I used these cute Lawn Fawn “Stuck On You” cactus stamps to create my card background and it was so easy following along with your instructions.
For the main centre section of my card I stamped the images in the centre and used the watercolour technique. Then I restamped the images onto a separate piece of paper, cut them out and mounted them over the top with 3D dots to give a little dimension. I love that you can see the watercolour effect surrounding the mounted crisp images!
Mardi says, “This was such an awesome tutorial Meghann…. it was very easy to follow along with and simple to adapt depending on what supplies you have at home. I chose to use a slightly different stamp set to demonstrate how easy it is to adapt. I spent quite a few hours playing around with different designs… inks and stamp sets.”
And me.. I decided to play along with this little tutorial too — and pulled out the old butterfly stamps, Stampin’ Up ink pads and some water colour paper to make this 3×4 Project Life filler card. And I love how it turned out.
